ARCHITECT OF THE CAPITOL SELECTS RFID-Pros
The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) in Washington, DC has selected Compu-Power, Inc.’s RFID-Pros Division to design, develop and implement an RFID based asset inventory and tracking system for the Capitol Visitors Center.
The Capitol is among the most architecturally impressive and symbolically important buildings in the world. Begun in 1793, the Capitol has been built, burnt, rebuilt, extended, and restored. The Senate and the House of Representatives have met there for more than two centuries. It is here that the U.S. Congress makes laws that influence our daily lives. The Capitol stands as a monument not only to its builders but also to the American people and their government.
Since its opening on December 2, 2008, the Capitol Visitors Center has hosted nearly two million visitors.
The Visitors Center’s asset inventorying and tracking project will use RFID-Pros’ ASSETracs™ software and builds on the continuing efforts to improve and streamline the management of critical government assets.
